Support Surges For 'Ballet Queen' Who Suffered Medical Emergency At Virginia Competition

Support is on the rise for a Virginia dance instructor who remains hospitalized after suffering a medical episode at a competition over the weekend.

A GoFundMe launched for Tristi Robinson says only that she is hospitalized after suffering a medical episode, and remains hospitalized at the Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.

Robinson is a ballet instructor at Prestige Dance Studio in Midlothian, and Momentum Dancer Center, in Ashland. The MDC called Robinson their "ballet queen."

Robinson's bio on the Prestige website says she hails from Nevada and has studied with renowned dancers. In her more than 30-year career as a professional dancer and teacher, Robinson was a principal dancer with the Washington Ballet and Richmond Ballet, her bio says. 

She was also a soloist with the Atlanta Ballet and a member of the Milwaukee Ballet Company, having won multiple awards.
